Always ensure containers are re-sealed immediately after use. Exposure to air introduces moisture and contaminants that reduce the shelf life of both SSD automatic solution and activation powder. Opened containers should be used within 90 days. Unopened products have a shelf life of 24 months from the manufacturing date printed on the label.

Disposal of Laboratory Chemicals

Never dispose of SSD chemical solution, used activation powder, or spent vectrol paste into standard domestic waste streams or municipal drainage systems. These products are subject to chemical waste regulations in most jurisdictions. Collect spent solutions in clearly labeled, sealed containers and arrange disposal through a licensed chemical waste contractor.
